This section is for anyone curious about Buddhist teachings and meditation. Meditation becomes more meaningful when paired with a deeper understanding of the Buddha’s wisdom. By learning the teachings, you can find clarity and answers to questions that may arise during practice.
While Pali—the ancient language of Buddhist scriptures—is foundational, Thai serves as a bridge to understanding the nuances of Dhamma that are often lost in translation. As someone who grew up in Thailand and now works in the U.S., I’ve been fortunate to master both languages. I feel a deep responsibility to share this unique perspective with you.
During my visit to Thailand in the summer of 2024, after five years away, I had a conversation with Pee Gee, a long-time volunteer at the temple. She reminded me of the critical role Thai plays in truly grasping the essence of Dhamma. Later, I shared this with Ying, a volunteer in Atlanta. It struck me: I can’t just encourage others to take on this work—they’re already busy. If I have the capacity and knowledge, it’s my responsibility to act.
I’m not doing this because I’m exceptionally diligent. I simply believe that if I don’t share this, who else will? I hope my experiences and insights can serve as a guide and bring value to your journey.
With warm wishes,
